π€ ROLE
Unlicensed Field Staff (Home Health Aide or Homemaker)
π― PURPOSE
To describe steps that should be taken by an unlicensed staff member (Home Health Aide or Homemaker) when a scheduled visit is attempted but there is no answer or the client/caregiver refuses the scheduled visit.
π PROCESS

A visit is considered attempted in the following scenarios:
- The client/caregiver does not answer their door.
- The client/caregiver answers the door but refuses the scheduled visit, resulting in no cares being completed.
- Immediately call the branch office and speak with your direct supervisor or the office staff member assigned to manage paraprofessional staffing.
- If the client/caregiver has not answered the door, the office staff will make reasonable attempts as appropriate to reach the client/caregiver to determine whether they are available for the scheduled visit.
- The office will give you instructions on when to leave the home and next steps to take, such as proceeding to the next scheduled client visit.
- When directed by the office, navigate to PointCare and mark the visit as Reschedule.
